OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

Open to residents of Canada

By entering this Contest, entrants agree to abide by these rules and regulations (the “Official Rules”). The decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the Contest are final. The information you provide will only be used to administer the Contest in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy.

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

The Year of the Snake Lucky Money Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Sunrise Soya Foods (the “Sponsor”). The Contest starts at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on January 8, 2025, and closes at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on February 15, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). All times are Eastern Times.

2. ELIGIBILITY

To enter the Contest and be eligible to win, a person must, at the time of entry, be a legal resident of Canada who has reached the age of majority in the province/territory in which they reside. Notwithstanding the foregoing, specifically excluded from entering the Contest are: (i) employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Sponsor, the independent contest organization, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising or promotion agencies; and (ii) a member of any such person’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the person or not). In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes parents, siblings, children, partner or legal or common-law spouse.

3. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST

There are two (2) ways to enter the Contest:

With Purchase: During the Contest Period, Entrants must: (a) purchase a minimum of two (2) participating Sunrise or Soyganic tofu or soya beverage products (see rule 15 for list of participating products) (the “Participating Products”) in one transaction in-store at a retail location in Canada (the “Retail Store(s)”); the purchase of Participating Products MUST appear on one (1) Receipt (defined below) (the “Participating Purchase”); and (b) take a photo of the Retail Store-identified cash register sales receipt dated during the Contest Period, with the minimum of two (2) Participating Products clearly identified (the “Receipt”). Next, visit www.winwithsunrise.com (the “Contest Website”) and upload a photo of your Receipt by clicking on the “upload button” and complete the entry form (the “Entry Form”) with your full name, postal code, a valid email address and daytime telephone number (including area code); check the box to confirm compliance with these Official Rules; and indicate whether you would like to receive information about future promotions and new products from the Sponsor (optional) (the “Submission”). Next, click submit to receive one (1) entry (the “Purchase Entry”) into the prize draws (see rule 6). You will only receive one (1) Purchase Entry per Receipt regardless of the number of Participating Products purchased on such Receipt, so long as it meets the minimum purchase of Participating Products. Submissions must be uploaded between 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on January 8, 2025 and 11:59:59 PM (ET) on February 21, 2025 (the “Submission Period”). Each Receipt must be unique and can be uploaded only once. THE PURCHASE OF THE PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS MUST BE MADE BETWEEN 12:00:00 AM EASTERN TIME (ET) ON JANUARY 8, 2025, AND 11:59:59 PM (ET) ON FEBRUARY 15, 2025.
Without Purchase: To receive an entry into the Contest without completing the requirements set out above for a Purchase Entry, on a plain piece of paper, legibly hand-print your full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), a valid email address, and write a minimum fifty (50) word hand-written essay (the “Essay”) on “What is your go-to Sunrise or Soyganic product and how you use it?” and mail to: Year of the Snake Lucky Money Contest, Dept. 4494 (Mail-In Entry), BOX 9500 Lakeshore West PO, Oakville, ON L6K 0G4 (ca “Mail-In Entry”). Mail-in Entries must be mailed prior to 11:59:59 PM (ET) on February 15, 2025 (the “Contest End Date”) and received during the Submission Period. Limit of one (1) Mail-In Entry per outer stamped mailing envelope. Each submitted Essay must be unique, duplicates are not permitted. The Sponsor takes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed Mail-In Entries.

4. ENTRIES

Purchase Entries & Mail-In Entries will herein be collectively referred to as an “Entry” or “Entries”. Limit of five (5) Entries in the Contest per person during the Contest Period, (regardless of the method of entry). You may only use one (1) email address to enter the Contest. You will only receive one (1) Entry per Submission and/or Mail-In Entry. In the event it is determined by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) exceed any of the limits stated in these Official Rules; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s), and/or any other means not in keeping with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Official Rules to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest, then such person may be disqualified and all of the Entries submitted by that person may be rejected. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of delivery. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. An Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) it is not fully completed with all required information and submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules.

5. PRIZES

There are a total of eleven (11) Prizes available to be won during the Contest Period consisting of one (1) grand prize (the “Grand Prize”), two (2) secondary prizes (each a “Secondary Prize”), and eight (8) tertiary prizes (each a “Tertiary Prize”) which are as follows:

GRAND PRIZE: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of $888 (CAD) in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner as their name appears on the release form.
SECONDARY PRIZES: There are two (2) Secondary Prizes available to be won, each consisting of $688 (CAD) in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner as their name appears on the release form.
TERTIARY PRIZES: There are eight (8) Tertiary Prizes available to be won, each consisting of $388 (CAD) in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner as their name appears on the release form.

The Grand Prize, Secondary Prizes, and Tertiary Prizes will herein be collectively referred to as a “Prize” or “Prizes”. Limit of one (1) Prize per person. Prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution, are not transferable, not for resale, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right, if a Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion), to substitute another prize component of equal or greater value, without liability.

6. PRIZE DRAWS

Three (3) random draws will be consecutively held at approximately 2:00 PM (ET) in Oakville ON, on February 25, 2025 (the “Draw Date”) from among all eligible Entries received during the Submission Period. On the Draw Date, one Grand Prize draw will be held to determine the one (1) Grand Prize selected entrant; one (1) Secondary prize draw will be held to determine the two (2) Secondary Prize selected entrants; and one (1) Tertiary Prize draw will be held to determine the eight (8) Tertiary Prize selected entrants. The Grand Prize selected entrant, Secondary Prize selected entrant(s), and Tertiary Prize selected entrants(s) will herein be collectively referred to as the “Selected Entrant” or “Selected Entrants”. The odds of winning a Prize depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during the Submission Period. Once a Selected Entrant has been drawn, the Entry will then be reviewed by the Sponsor (or its designated representative(s)) to determine if it meets the requirements set out in rule 3. Upon verification of the Entry, the Selected Entrant will be contacted by email and/or telephone within five (5) business days of the Draw Date. If a Selected Entrant(’s) (a) Submission or Mail In Entry does not meet the requirements set out in rule 3; (b) cannot be reached by telephone and/or email within five (5) business days of the first notification; (c) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question (see rule 7); or (d) fails to return the properly executed Release Form within the specified time (see rule 7), then they will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such time as a Selected Entrant fulfils all of the foregoing requirements or there are no more eligible Entries, whichever comes first. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a Selected Entrant.

7. WINNER SELECTION

To be declared a winner of a Prize, the Selected Entrant’s Entry must be verified and approved based on the requirements outlined in rule 3 and they must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question. The Selected Entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, its dealers, agents, mandataries, affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, mandataries, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with the Prize or this Contest. The Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Release Form or the Prize may be forfeited. Upon receipt of the completed Release Form and the Selected Entrant correctly answering the mathematical skill testing question, the Prize will be coordinated with the winner by a representative of the Sponsor within four (4) to six (6) weeks.

8. PUBLICITY

By entering and accepting a Prize, each winner consents to the use of their name, address (city and province/territory) and/or photograph without further notice or remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Contest.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, the Releasees accept no responsibility for and each entrant irrevocably releases the Releasees from loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or acceptance of a Prize. The Releasees will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, falsified or destroyed Entries and all such Entries are void. Entries that have been falsified, tampered with or altered are void. The Releasees will not be liable for any failure of the Contest Website, do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A Selected Entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected Entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

10. TERMINATION

The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest or to amend the Official Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever. Without limiting the foregoing, if for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, for example as a result of tampering or infection by computer virus, the Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Contest and conduct a random draw from all previously received eligible entries.

11. GOVERNING LAW

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of the Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website, including the Contest Website, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest could be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. PERMANENT PROPERTY OF SPONSOR

All Entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor. No correspondence will be entered into except with the Selected Entrant. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial/territorial and municipal laws.

13. INCONSISTENCY

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials including, but not limited to the Entry Form, Contest Website, and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.

14. PRIVACY

The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. The personal information you provided will only be used for the purpose of administering this Contest and Prize fulfillment. No communication unrelated to the Contest, commercial or otherwise, will be sent to the entrant by the Sponsor, unless the entrant has otherwise authorized the Sponsor to do so or as permitted by law.
